Our History

TalkBack was founded in 2003 to provide quality speech and language therapy services to children. In 2007, we started providing speech, language, and feeding therapy in the Tri-cities and surrounding areas of East Tennessee. In 2008, we opened our Kingsport office, followed by the opening of our Johnson City clinic in 2010.

In 2011, we expanded our services to include pediatric occupational and physical therapy services in both of our Kingsport and Johnson City offices. In addition to our clinical offices, we offer limited home therapy visits and provide contract services to several local school systems.

Talkback added ADOS-2 testing in March 2020.  The ADOS-2 is a standardized assessment tool used in the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.

In 2021, we opened an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) clinic to provide quality pediatric ABA therapy services to children with an Autism Spectrum diagnosis.

Our therapists (OT, PT, ST, BCBA, RBT) are board certified and licensed in the state of Tennessee.  Our dedicated staff provide a diverse range of expertise in pediatric therapy and development.
